The armoured tracked infantry fighting vehicle has been designed to transport infantry troops to the battlefield and to provide direct fire support, including engagement against enemy armoured vehicles. Featuring the increased level of ballistic protection, high and easy manoeuvrability and a possibility to fit a wide range of special systems, the vehicle has been pre-determined for deployment at asymmetric missions. The platform can be fitted with many different types of mission kits - recon, engineering, medical, recovery, workshop, communication and information, command and staff and others.
The original BMP-1 is still in service in many countries all around the world. The Mexca utilizes its main advantages - manoeuvrability, versatility and easily accessed service and parts.
